Located just to the south of Mackay, Sarina is a picturesque town with around 11, 000 people calling it home. Sarina has a very laid back atmosphere, with several beautiful beaches with great fishing located within a short commute from your base at the Tramway Motel. Sarina is famous for its sugar industry, with many sugar cane fields surrounding the town. There are many beaches within an easy commute of Sarina, with Campwin Beach about a 14km cruise away to the east. Just to the north of Sarina is Mackay, which has easy access to the Great Barrier Reef and Whitsunday Islands (including the nearby Brampton Island), as well as the Eungella National Park.
