Review about U Blinds Australia, Fairfield

As per other reviews this company is one of the very worst to deal with. In our case we had Venetian blinds installed in several rooms at a cost of $3000. From the time they were put up they did not work correctly with the turning mechanisms failing so blinds offered no privacy when shut. Pull cord needed the strength of two hands to make the blinds open and shut. We had to make 6 phone calls just to the salesman David before we got any progress. Eventually an installer came out again had a look declared that he didn’t know what was wrong with them and couldn’t fix them. Told us to ring Tyson the manager. Spoke to Tyson who talked the talk but obviously had no intention of assisting us. A total of 17 phone calls with no luck. Eventually we had Consumer Affairs Victoria get involved. They also spoke to Tyson who agreed the blinds were faulty and told them he would sort matter with his director and get back to us with a solution. Obviously nothing eventuated. As others have done in other states we are now in the process of commencing the process of going to Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal and then taking further action through ACCC as they now have a history of this type of behaviour. Our advice is deal with this company at your own peril.
