Traveller beware. The "17 Day Festive Lights under Nordic Lights" is not a "tour". You need to be aware of this companies lack of transparency. It is promoted as a tour but you need to know that you have to make your own way to every destination which adds extra expense to your trip. The activities included are nothing more that Viator walking tours, or hop on off buses which you can book yourself. When in Pyhatunturi the activities are also ones you can book yourself. You will be left to drag and carry your own suitcases everywhere inluding up and down stairs in hotels, on and off ferries and trains. If you go when we did (Nov-Dec 2023) you will be dragging your cases through heavy snow. The hotels booked are nice but your rooms will be the cheapest available. Our itinerary was only given to us a few weeks before and had we known this we would have not booked with this company. If you are young and fit this is for you. We were also asked to pay extra at the last minute due to currency fluctuations and the price of accomodation. This was certainly not reflected in out hotels. In saying all of this I want to say that the places we visited especially Pyhatunturi, Lapland is breath taking and this made the trip memorable.

Unfortunately winter conditions do add another level of inconvenience moving around with luggage even when distances are short. Regarding the hop-on hop-off options. We assume you are talking about Helsinki which is has very limited options for sightseeing tours during winter and the tour we include is the only scheduled option available. Tours with private guides are available for groups but prohibitively expensive for just two persons. We're pleased to hear that you found the destinations, especially Pyhätunturi, breathtaking. We do strive to showcase the beauty of the Nordic region while offering affordable travel options. Regarding the price adjustment brought about by currency fluctuations between the time of reservation and final payment being received. This clause is part of the standard terms and conditions within the industry. However, it seems that there was an oversight on the part of the third party you were working through and our Terms & Conditions were not forwarded to you when initially received.
