Riverland Vine Improvement Committee Inc (RVIC) is a fully self funded non profit organisation. Background Vine nursery established in 1983 30ha of rootstock source blocks (McCreanor Block) initially planted in 1989 at Monash New vine processing depot built at Monash property in 1995 1998 - Record sales of 7.4 million cuttings 40ha of scion source blocks (Cirami Block) initially planted in 1999 Laboratory and virus testing began in 2000 A variety collection initially started in 2002 7 new clonal trials established in 2003 Rootstock Trials established in 2005 Small lot wine making began on site in 2008 DNA testing commenced in 2009 Website presence started in 2010 Wine sale to the public began in 2011.
