My background is in youth mental health and the alcohol and other drugs field, I have spent many years training to become an accredited Emotion Focused Practitioner. I offer tailored support for adults and young people aged 12 and above. However, I will accept working with 11-year-olds who have commenced grade 6. For children who are younger, I can offer parenting guidance and strategies rather than individual child therapy. My focus is therapeutic interventions, creating a safe and respectful space to talk things through, at your pace. My approach is informal and relaxed, therapy doesn’t need to feel clinical. There is often laughter in the room, it is the best medicine! Clients often tell me they feel cosy in my therapy room and enjoy the presence of Caramello, the therapy dog.
