Who we are Forte Toowong and Coorparoo are one of Brisbane’s biggest private music schools. David Doherty came on board with Forte in 2008, under Forte’s creator Gillian Erskine’s guidance, and has expanded the school to include the Coorparoo location as well. Having graduated from the Queensland Conservatorium, where he was awarded the Conservatorium guitar prize in 2003, David then went on to travel and live in Japan, Canada and the US. Teaching and performing in those countries proved the bedrock for a life of teaching and sharing music. Grow the young musician inside your child... Forte musicians have a wide range of musical skills. They are able to understand the language of music and how it fits together.
