The Tenterfield Railway Station Museum is a must-visit for history enthusiasts and families. With multiple rooms to explore, including Ladies Rooms, Men’s Rooms, and the Stationmaster's Office, visitors can step into the past. The museum houses beautiful rolling stock made of iron, wood, vinyl, and laminex. The historical walk is worth doing, and visitors can even bring their dogs. The entrance fee is worth it for the vast array of history, interesting books, and manuals. The volunteers do a fantastic job in keeping the museum well-managed. The exhibits include lots of trains and carriages that visitors can enter. The museum is great for families, especially during market days, and a great legacy to the disused railway line. Interactive exhibits make it an excellent place for kids.

History museum The Tenterfield Centenary Cottage Museum offers a fascinating glimpse into early settler life with beautifully presented displays, a collection of memorabilia from the past, and a knowledgeable staff. The museum is housed in a beautifully preserved 1871 building and features items related to Tenterfield's history, including original furniture and clothing. Visitors can touch the displays and learn about significant figures such as Sir Henry Parkes, the founder of Federation in Australia. General admission is $5 for adults, and the museum is open Wednesday to Sunday from 10:00am to 4:00pm.
