Owner Joe Scordo has always been passionate about American vehicles. At the age of 17 he had purchased his first Corvette. This lead to Joe wanting to buy another American vehicle, after contacting the local business’ that were importing vehicles in Melbourne from US at the time and becoming increasingly frustrated with the lack of service, he decided to take matters into his own hands. Joe flew to the US sourced and imported a vehicle all by himself and thus the idea for Motor Cars International was born. MCI has been importing and converting cars to right hand drive since 1994, starting out on his own but with the many contacts he had made overseas MCI has been able to grow to become one of the largest importation, compliance and right hand drive conversion specialists in Victoria. In 2010 MCI earned compliancing authority for Harley Davidson Motorcycles and by September of 2011 the original workshop could no longer keep up with demand and so MCI relocated to a modern specialist workshop in West Footscray. With ISO 9001, RAWS accreditation and Joe himself a qualified panel beater with more than 10 years’ of experience you can be sure you are in safe hands when you decide to import your next purchase with MCI.
