Ndy’s Music was founded in the early 1980's by Wendy Brentnall-Wood. Wendy graduated from Melbourne Conservatorium of Music with a Bachelor of Music Education in 1981 and an Associate Diploma of Music in Piano from the AMEB. As a teacher of classroom music (preschool, primary and secondary) instrumental music (Piano, Guitar, Recorder, Flute, Clarinet, Sax, Violin and singing) and School Instrumental Co-ordinator, Wendy found many children and adults starting music lessons but giving up in frustration because it seemed to hard. Frustration with the lack of adequate materials for some instruments and the “information overload” when beginner students start drove Wendy to develop her own series of “learn to Play or Sing” teaching and learning resources for a range of instruments. Not only do these materials use simple and easy to understand explanations, but Wendy has put together a sequence of small achievable steps which children or adults can learn topic by topic. A variety of activities from Playing, Performing, technique, Reading, Writing, Listening, Creating, Quizzes and more give plenty of review and quicker understanding and achievement of all the musicianship skills. Music is a thing of great joy to Wendy, and helping others make music is Wendy’s passion! Wendy’s Music Teachers are all specialist, experienced, trained music teachers usually with a minimum of a TAFE Music Diploma through to Bachelor and Masters degrees. All teachers have a Working with Children Check (WWC) or State Teaching Registration. #All teachers are specialists on their instrument and some are skilled on several instruments. All teachers are trained to use Wendy’s Music Method to ensure consistent teaching progress and nurture a fun learning environment.
