I can honestly say that this was the best meal I've had in a restaurant in quite some time. The food was absolutely delicious and there were massive helpings. Their kneffeh was absolutely yummy. The ambiance of the restaurant was very welcoming and our waiter Ali, was a delight. I don't have one bad thing to say about Zahli and I will be coming back ASAP. I contrast this with another Lebanese restaurant I went to today which was in the same price bracket but which was horrible. The waiters treated us dismissively and the restaurant even charged us $9 for table water. So take my advice and go to Zahli if you want to impress your guests. And look out for Ali who is a darling.

I found a) the food was passable although the chef had gone crazy with the lemon juice on the appetizers. Also the Knaffeh was not so good - lots of pastry and syrup but hardly any cheese. b) the ambiance was very so-so. c) the waiters were absolute slackers. My guests were convinced that it was because they came from a country which the waiters did not like. This thought had not occurred to me, however the waiters were absolutely dismissive towards us, which, considering the size of the bill we paid, was unfortunate. When we left they barely turned their head to acknowledge our departure. d) table water is not provided free of charge. Instead we had to pay $9 for a bottle of still water. e) A 10% service charge was added to the bill. I thought that was outrageous. Surely we can make our own judgement on whether we wanted to leave a tip or not. But apparently not.
