Review about Covergirl Boat Covers, Sylvania
5 years ago
When I bought my neglected boat, all the covers were in bad shape allowing weather into the helm damaging instruments and seats etc. The marina guys suggested a couple of cover businesses but one didn't return my calls, the other made an arrangement and didn't turn up or call me. While venting my frustration on the wharf one day someone suggested the Covergirl family business. That was indeed a lucky day.
I first spoke with Natasha who took the time to discuss options with me as I needed to stick to a budget to repair and not replace and I appreciated her taking the time to guide me through the pitfalls of extracting my covers should I decide to do this bit myself and thereby reduce the overall cost. She was quite helpful and gave her time freely as it was understood I might still take my business elsewhere.
The clears were considerably damaged by storm and tempest and shrunken in all directions but frames still fairly in tact.
After a lengthily brainstorming discussion with the whole Covergirl team about the irregular shrinkage and ill fit, the covers were refitted to the boat by me with little effort to my surprise. Zippers and windows restitched or replaced and some additional technical tricks to relieve stress and facilitate the curves. I was pretty impressed considering none of them ever set foot on the vessel. The cost was much less than I had researched and estimated too.
I'm sure that attempting to resurrect those covers made this job unusually difficult as a site unseen project. Alison, David and Natasha bring an impressive collective knowledge base to their work and are the most pleasant people to do business with. Rob MacDonald
