I asked Jan to lay the carpet for me. I found him on Gumtree. I had removed the old carpet and underlay and I had the new underlay and new carpet ready. I sent him the information he asked for and he quoted a price. I accepted the price and then he booked a date. He turned up late and then he looked at the job did not say much and said he has to ring a friend for help with the carpet. He jumped into his car and left. He then sent me a message " Sorry mate I'm doing your job" (exact wording) after sending a number of messages he confirmed he is not doing the job. He did not explain why he decided not to do the job. Not very professional. This man is not professional and I question whether he is skilled enough to lay carpet. I would not recommend him. I suspect the other Google reviews are fakes. DO NOT TRUST THIS PERSON !!!!!!
