I purchased a woolly jacket on August 13th, this jacket was a gift for an elderly neighbour who is experiencing difficult times with her health. I explained to the shop assistant at Main Desire I wasn't sure of her size but would take a size 14 and hoped it would fit her. At no point through that exchange or at the point of transaction was it said there was no exchange on a sale item. I didn't even know it was a sale item. I returned the jacket today as it was too small; to be told they would not exchange it for a larger size. i explained it was a gift for an elderly neighbour and it was too big for me, she then reiterated there was a no return policy in sale items. this policy is not printed on their sales dockets nor is it on their website. i find it exceptionally disappointing as me and two friends shop there regularly and over many years. I will never shop there again, and I can assure you neither will my two friends over this poor customer service.
