The one star is for the lady who treated me well when I came in but aside from that I've been left surprisingly gutted. I came in with good will, indicating that the jewellry I had may or may not be worth anything, but that if some of the pieces were, I'd sell. Unfortunately none of the pieces, bar one, was worth anything and the man said he'd buy it for 100$. It put me on the spot, and I wasn't quite ready to sell that brooch. Immediately and I quote, he had said "Get out. Don't come back here. You're obviously just coming by to pick my brains and I don't want to see you again." Clearly the moment it was established I didn't have anything valuable, I was no longer someone to give basic decency to. I truly hope that his conduct is an outlier in the Brisbane Jewellry community.
