Very bad experience and so disappointed they refused to honour the warranty of the mower we bought from them. After 18 months the mower was smoking. We took it into Elliot’s. After an hour they rang us to say there was no oil in the engine and therefore it was not covered under the warranty and it would be $1200-$1300 to put in a new engine. Knowing we did have oil in the mower we sought a second opinion. It was just the head gasket needed replacing which we had repaired elsewhere. We are currently taking them to the Small Claims Court for the cost of the repair which they are refusing to pay for. Being pensioners we are so disappointed a local company tried to cheat us out of $1200.
