Review about Matsuri Japanese Restaurant, Adelaide
I went and checked out Matsuri Japanese Restaurant on Gouger Street in the city on Friday night with a friend. We ordered the large boat – a selection of sushi and sashimi which was perfect for two people. Although there was a lot of other stuff that I wanted to try too but I had to resist the temptation! Cost was $60.80. This place offers authentic Japanese cuisine that is inexpensive and yet delicious. The food is all fresh and beautifully presented and the atmosphere is simply delightful. The waitress was really cute and did a good job serving us. We didn’t have to wait too long for our order to arrive which was good. If you like Japanese food and want an alternative to the Sushi Train then you should definitely check this place out. I will certainly be back again to try out the rest of what they have to offer.

Review about Semaphore Palais By The Sea, SEMAPHORE

Wonderful Art Deco building from the 1920s set right on the sand at the beautiful Semaphore beach. Glass panels provide you with an unspoilt view of all the tranquil seaside bliss. It doesn’t really look like a pub and the food is more upmarket than most pubs although a bit pricey. On Friday and Saturday nights it’s also a bit of a nightclub with top 40 music. It’s worth checking out on a lovely sunny day if you’re looking to hang out at the beach and experience some awesome outdoor beachside dining. It’s a pretty nice venue for a beach themed wedding reception also. With at least two function rooms that I noticed - a ballroom upstairs and a groovy atrium surrounded by glass panels which makes you really feel like you are at the beach. The atrium would be great for cocktail style function. Being next to the beach it got pretty cold at night so be sure to bring an extra layer of clothing just in case.

Review about North Adelaide Burger Bar, North Adelaide

The AB is a type of fast food from Adelaide which has been popular with university students since its creation. It is made up of chips, and yiros meat, covered with tomato, barbecue, garlic sauce and tzatziki. Its somewhat grotesque appearance is the source of the name "AB", for "abortion", or "after-birth". It is also known to be sold as an Atomic Bomb or Dog's Breakfast at other Adelaide eateries. It is commonly eaten after or during a night of drinking, or as a hangover food. While $9 is the normal price for an AB, it is merely the minimum possible size: ABs in excess of $350 have reportedly been consumed. Only two North Adelaide take-out cafes currently serve the AB: the North Adelaide Burger Bar and the B..., which are both on O'Connell Street within three storefronts of each other. Both claim to be the inventor of the AB, and both claim to make a superior AB to the other. The main difference is that the Red and White includes tzatziki sauce whilst the B... does not.

Review about Union Hotel - Best Pub in Adelaide, Adelaide
Love this place on a Friday night, the retro music can be a bit hit and miss but there is always lots of cute girls and it's not too crowded so you don't have to worry about lining up to get in. There are two huge couches which are basically like beds however don’t fall asleep on them otherwise you will get kicked out. There is a beer garden at the back and some tables and chairs outside the front for the smokers. The Union also has a restaurant although I can’t comment on the food because I’ve never eaten there. The bar is also quite accessible, not one of those places where you have to wait for hours to get served. If you’re looking for a place to go on a Friday night with a nice vibe, lot’s of eye candy but not too busy then this place is worth checking out.

Review about Sandbar, Henley Beach

Usually pretty busy on Friday nights when the weather is good. Saturday nights are reserved for private functions. Useful if you are looking for a pub / club that is close to the beach but not so great for something more up-market like say a wedding reception.
