On Friday “Sena” from Diamond Plumbing came to my house to inspect my toilet cistern to advise if the leaking cistern required replacement. He advised me it only needed a washer replaced and I agreed to have him fix it. He came to my house in a private vehicle, without any plumbing supplies and went to a plumbing shop to buy the washer. After returning from the shop and replacing the washer “Sena” discovered he had lost a spring which returns one side of the plungers to its upper position. He returned to the shop to buy another spring. When the spring had been replaced, he told me he wanted cash for the job, for which he asked me for $250. I explained this was ridiculous considering all that was required was the replacement of a washer and I offered $150 cash. He refused this and I gave him $200 (no receipt was given). After “Sena” left my house, I tried to contact Diamond Plumbing to lodge a complaint about the cost of this job. Both numbers shown on the internet are no longer connected.
