Review about Sheen Panel Service, Hoppers Crossing
I met with an accident about 2months ago. I parked the car and got out of the car, a car came from the back and hit my car as the other driver was trying to avoid a pedestrian (totally not my fault)
I took the car to Sheen panel service in Hoppers Crossing. I gave all the information to the Sheen staff who attended to me, he promised that everything will be fixed and gave me a time frame of about 3 weeks for all the work to be completed.
They took about 6 weeks, and finally when they said that everything was ready. I had to take a day off from work to go get my car, as Sheen is not open during the weekend (even for pickups). The main damage was fixed, other small damages around it not fixed+additional scratches around the damaged area.
This was definitely not the level of service I had expected. The staff/Manager who I had dealt with initially had gone on a long vacation to Europe and the current acting manager had no clue of what was reported initially and he started blaming my insurance company for not letting them know what all needs to be fixed. This definitely doesn't make sense to me as Sheen was responsible to report and discuss all the damages caused during the accident when the insurance assessor came to their store. I just don't understand why this careless behavior?
The staff (current acting manager and another lady staff at site) argued with me that I take the car as it is and come back later when their staff member (the person who I had initially dealt with) returned from his holiday from Europe after another 3 weeks and discuss with him and sort this out.
Why should it be my problem that their staff member went on a holiday and did not leave necessary information behind and why should I take off from work and run around to get these mistakes sorted? The mistakes which I personally think that Sheen panel Hoppers crossing staff was responsible for.
I took this up with the insurance company and they sent out the assessor again and got this whole issue resolved after about 9weeks. When I went back this time, I see that the other side of the car has scratches at the bottom which were not there previously and a small piece of the mirror frame still broken but not replaced. When I asked about this, they mentioned that this was there from before. I wash my car once in a week and I know the whole car inch by inch. Can spot every single scratch on it with my eyes closed. I am not someone who is trying to get all the damages in my car sorted and blame it all on this accident. This is genuine careless behavior from Sheen Hoppers Crossing and it's staff.
During the accident, the whole right door was smashed, when I collected the car, part of the mirror frame on the same door is broken and the acting manager at Sheen tells me that that should have been broken before the accident. Are they serious?? The whole door was broken, how would the mirror frame not get damaged at all. How are we going to ascertain if the damage for the mirror frame was done before or during the accident?
