I was acquired a Mountain bike over the week-end, as the owner did not need it any more. It was a polygon Xtrada 5 not knowing much about mountain bikes and there set up, I thought I should do the right thing before I took it out for a ride and take it to my local bike shop "BIKEMINDED" and get it checked out for safety. I walked into the shop to see two guys sitting behind the counter drinking tea and chatting. I enquired if i could get my bike given a service and check over. The guy sitting at the front desk, said " I am glad I was sitting down for that question" and that he was vey busy with work and that he only serviced bikes that they have sold. It is good to see a business that is so busy that they can afford to turn away business, There was only two people in the shop ( working / drinking tea and chatting) if they were that busy maybe they should be employing more staff and not turning away customers who need to be provided with a service. Obviously customer service is not there thing at "BIKEMINDED" but I only hope that it was the owner who turned away my business and not just some employee... The five stars are for an EXCELLENT example of how not to do customer service.
