Completely disgusting staff at this store avoid this place at all costs. My partner and I visited this store, after travelling 400 kilometres to get there as it was the closest store location with the items we were trying to get. We had over $1000 in vouchers, provided to us from our insurer after a break in at our home. Upon trying to purchase the items we were told it would need a managers approval as it was over $200. The vouchers were taken from us, we were accused of the vouchers being counterfeit. We provided evidence from our insurer that they were genuine. The two so called managers refused the vouchers and called security. At this point the security guard who was not wearing any identification snatched the remaining vouchers from my partners hands. After again asking for some form of identification from security, as he was plain clothed he produced a security licence with an expiry date of August 2021. I had to place myself between my partner and the guard as he was behaving in a threatening manner to my partner. While the two managers were being abusive towards myself and my partner and creating a scene infront of other shoppers. We were handed the vouchers back and told that they had been cancelled by them. When questioned why they cancelled the vouchers we were not given a reason. The managers proceeded to give my partner and myself a tirade of foul language and verbal abuse. My partner and I were leaving the store voluntarily when the two managers and the security decided to follow us from the store swearing at us and using the security to intimidate my partner. Again I had to stand between my partner and the security guard as he was behaving in a manner that was threatening to my partner. We left the store and went to another Bunnings location at the Cross Roads Casula. We spoke with store staff there about the vouchers and why we had them. The staff at the Cross Roads store could have not been more helpful and easy to deal with. They had informed us the vouchers had not been cancelled. We managed to get the items we were trying to purchase without any issue. We have reported our experience at the Blaxland Road Campbelltown store with our insurer and they will be taking this matter further. Both my partner and I will also be reporting the disgusting behaviour of the staff and management of this store with Bunnings head office. As no customer should ever have to experience what we experienced at this store.
