Review about Just's Brakes & Mechanical, Victoria Point

I purchased a motor home from a seller who used JB&M for the Safety Certificate/Roadworthy for the sale. Unfortunately as the vehicle was located on Russell Island I couldnt get a mechanic to go over it and relied on Just's Roadworthy Certificate. Turned out it was completely eroded, steering, suspension, brake cables, etc etc. If it could erode, it was. There was major long term rust on the chassis that had been sprayed with tar at some point to hide/stop the rust, but most had worn off, chunks of rust fall off the chassis when knocked. It is dangerous and unsafe to drive and must have been so for years! I doubt Just's even looked underneath or opened the bonnet as the corrosion is obvious if they had. This vehicle was unroadworthy period!! Cost of repairs would be well in excess of $10k and then it might not pass another roadworthy and engineers report. My mechanic suggested putting the home on a new cab/chassis might be the best option. He wouldn't put it on his hoist in case the chassie snapped. 5 STARS if you need a dodgy roadworthy for a lemon though. I am preparing an affadavit to lodge with the State Ombudsman regarding their fitness to provide Safety Certificates, and have legal advice I have grounds for court action with multiple shocking pics and an engineers report. I will defintely persue this!

I purchased a motor home from a seller who used JB&M for the Safety Certificate/Roadworthy for the sale. Unfortunately as the vehicle was located on Russell Island I couldnt get a mechanic to go over it and relied on Just's Roadworthy Certificate. Turned out the front end was completely eroded, steering, suspension, brake cables etc etc. There was major long term rust on the chassis that had been covered with tar at some point to hide/stop the rust, but had worn off, chunks of rust were crumbling off the chassis. It was dangerous and unsafe to drive and must have been so for years! I doubt Just's even looked underneath or opened the bonnet as the corrosion is in plain sight. This vehicle was unroadworthy and dangerous. Cost of repairs would be in excess of $10k and then it might not pass another roadworthy. 5 stars if you need a roadworthy on a lemon though. Will lodge a complaint with the state Ombudsman and have legal advice I have grounds for court action.
