We purchased our new EQC 400 and let me start by saying we love the car. Great to drive, great ride, has all the bells and whistles. Now for why you wanted to read this review, Mercedes Castle Hill is not the place to go for help learning about EV’s if you don’t know as much as you should, or even if you think you do. The sales staff there gave us incorrect information about charge rates we could achieve in the real world which we based our decision to purchase on. This meant if we road tripped interstate to see family, instead of a nice stop for lunch and a bit of shopping to charge the car it would be an overnight stay at a hotel and an Uber to and from where the car has to be left to charge while hoping that no one decided to rummage through the inside of our car after they accidentally broke the window trying to look in. If you are sticking to the town runs and staying local then go for your life, but if you are like us and have a life and like to get out further then a round trip to your house where you can securely charge it in your garage, then you will 100% use your new Mercedes to go and shop for a new road trip car. The unfortunate response from the team at Mercedes has been “it is what it is” and you will be left with a very expensive local run around that will never reach the charge rates they claim and they will never admit that they gave you the wrong information. But hey, it is what it is right?
