Unfortunately, we paid over $10K in fees, we had plans showing drains running uphill, improvements not showing on our land but on others property despite the surveyors plans being given to them, they created issues with our neighbours by going onto others property when we expressly advised them not to, no engineer physically visited our site just a junior employee who did not have engineering qualifications and even when glaring basic engineering errors were pointed out to them they did not revisit same until I got the surveors involved to back me up. They did not follow instructions even after a second request was made tgst we didn’t want a retaining wall across the back of our yard (wasn’t required as we didn’t want an enormous pond up the top of the back hill on our property (never wanted that in the first place, just wanted a small frog pond out the front), they obviously don’t get a senior engineer to thoroughly check drafts or plans to correct basic engineering errors or to follow in detail written or verbal instructions and to date they have not responded to further correspondence … one day their basic lack of engineering will cause serious damage and/or injury to others which is a great concern
