Review about Department of Transport, Mandurah

My 16 y/o son went to sit his driving test for his RN license (50cc) moped last Friday Having failed his first test this was his second attempt After sufficient training of more than ten lessons his instructor picked him up from Baldivis to Mandurah (1.Lesson) then did the test circuit in Mandurah (2. Lesson) Both he and his instructor believed he was ready for his driving test Upon meeting the driving tester he was asked to check his indicators He engaged the ignition whilst checking his indicators front and rear with the bike running on its stand . He was instantly failed . Now perhaps the ignition needed to be on without engaging the engine , but the bit that gets me is this tester is engaged to run a test pass or fail to at least give the student feedback on positives and things to work on I find the instant fail to then not even have the integrity to sit a test appalling Not to mention the time and money invested into this by a full time student part time worker Totally Unsatisfactory and very Unprofessional Didn’t even give the boy a chance I’ve been hearing that Mandurah DOT is set up to fail driving tests, I’m starting to see why. I think you’re testers need to put a human element to students test days Obviously they’re not there to assist students but clearly to fail a student before the test had even began and then not even be bothered to take the test plus charge for it is just ridiculous. He spent literally 5minutes with him 😠
