In 1948, Jim van der VEen and his wife (whose maiden name started with BAS) joined their surnames and established VEBAS Aquariums, which they operated from the backyard of their Palmyra home. In 1997, the business moved to its current location in O’Connor, and today, under the management of new owner Patrick Smith, Vebas Aquariums has grown to become one of Australia’s biggest suppliers of fish, aquariums and related products to both the retail sector and general public. We are proud of the reputation we have gained over the years for the quality of our stock, our prices, and above all, our customer service. We are a member of the Perth Cichlid Society, and are happy to share our extensive knowledge about fish and aquariums with our customers. Quarantine Room Our custom-built quarantine room is AQIS approved and features freshwater and saltwater tanks, which enable us to import our fish direct.
