I started this encaustic and cold wax medium business seven years ago. Trying to set up my own art studio was exhausting with the sourcing of products requiring endless research from various local to international retailers. Waxy Art Supplies is now my own retail store providing encaustic and cold wax medium artists everything they need from one spot! Located in Tamborine Mountain, Gold Coast Queensland, but as an online shop I freight all over Australia. My woodworking husband makes the birch 5ply boards, panels and floater frames popular with professional artists of all mediums, while I gather quality supplies from leading brands such as Enkaustikos, R&F, Gamblin, Langridge and more. We are also the sole distributors of the Cold Wax Medium book by R Crowell & J McLaughlin, and their unique tools - SP Create soft rubber brayers and Squeegees.
