La Galette de France was established in 2005 by Eric and Nadia Masure at the Subiaco Station Street Markets. This little Patisserie and Crêperie quickly acquired a reputation for excellence and custom grew through word-of-mouth. It became well known for its high quality, delicious and well-priced products plus a super friendly service. La Galette de France soon expanded into a larger patisserie in the heart of South Perth in 2007, then with the help of business partners in Nedlands in 2009. A fourth store was established briefly in Kalamunda in 2011, expanding the reach of our products and service across Perth. The aim of La Galette de France has always been to provide a great range of authentic fresh products and to be a positive addition to the community, by providing local job opportunities and caring customer service. Unfortunately, after facing quite a few hurdles and disappointments, Eric and Nadia felt they had to downsize their business to regain control over the quality of their products and customer service. They focused their time and energy on their Subiaco Markets stall, as well as increasing their wholesale activity, providing their pastries to numerous coffee shops and hotels around Perth. Just recently, following the sudden decision of Subiaco Markets' owners to propose this iconic site for redevelopment, Eric and Nadia became very concerned for the welfare of their employees and their own family. "If we've had been asked to move in a hurry without any back up plan, it could have had devastating repercussions." So once again, a big change is happening, and La Galette de France is moving on. Their new home? a small shop on Hampden Road. "We still have a lot of love for our job, for our business and for our customers. We can't wait to see you in our new shop!" To be continued.
