Goodstart Early Learning Child Care Centre Mount Isa is the newest centre in the area, providing a fresh and high-quality addition to the town's early education landscape. Our child care centre is located in the heart of town with fun and educational programs caterring for all age groups. We have beautiful shaded playgrounds, fully air conditioned rooms, experienced and qualified educators. Inside, all of the rooms - from Nursery to Kindergarten / Preschool - are all set up in line with an Early Years Learning Framework, with sensory and play based learning opportunities. Colourful, stimulating surrounds ensure the children have the chance to grow and develop through sensory, play-based learning. Our Storypark platform, as well as regular family nights and emailed newsletters, enable us to stay in close contact with parents and families, ensuring open and clear communication. This also means we can tailor each program to the child’s individual needs, interests and strengths – as well as the strong level of cultural diversity in our centre. Outside, we have three areas all with age appropriate play spaces and equipment. We have sandpits, a bark pit, bike track, chicken pen, cubby house and a balance of natural and manmade play surfaces. Our number one priority is to ensure that we build strong relationships and friendships with all of our families. We have many special events throughout the year giving families an opportunity to meet and greet and build special relationships with other families within the centre. Community is also important to us and through visits to the centre and participation in events and activities throughout the year we are able to enrich the learning experience. Art and music experiences are provided on a daily basis which allow the children to freely express their creativity. Come in and see for yourself how we can help give your child the best start in life – and give you peace of mind! We would love the chance to show you around.

The Buffs Club offers a friendly and relaxed atmosphere with reasonably priced drinks and good food. The restaurant serves delicious meals with fast service, and the coffee shop opens at 8 am. The club undergoes renovations but still provides a nice ambience. The menu offers a great variety of dishes, and some visitors appreciate the homely touch in the presentation of the food. The sports bar is a highlight for many, with a large screen for sports viewing. Some visitors have experienced long wait times for food or had issues with certain services, but overall, the positive experiences outweigh the negative.
