Momo Sukiyaki and Shabu Shabu are authentic Japanese beef hot pot recipes. The dishes are inspired by the Japanese culinary custom of families getting together to share a steaming pot of meat and vegetables during the months of winter in Japan. At Momo Sukiyaki & Shabu Shabu, we can try the unique Japanese cuisine experience at highly affordable prices. At our Japanese restaurant, each table is fitted with hot plates, which allows the guests to engage in the background of making their meal - the culinary enthusiasts select the broth to form the base of the hot pot, choose from thinly sliced Wagyu beef, Kurobuta pork, live seafood, local vegetables and a variety of Japanese tapas which can be dipped in homemade sauce. The friendly staff also guides the visitors through the process and all the popular choices. The chosen ingredients are presented on small plates, which need to be dipped in the boiling broth before being eaten heartily. The main difference between both the dishes is the broth. The broth in the Sukiyaki is much thicker-sweeter than the broth in Shabu Shabu which is thinner & savoury. QUALITY MEAT: Wagyu Beef - Premium Grade F-1 Black Kobe Wagyu Kurobuta Pork - A Specialised breed of black hair pig, Berkshire Kurobuta Organic Poultry - Organic and free range Seafood - Live and fresh The seafood restaurant also offers a wide range of Japanese snacks and entrees, such as edamame, sashimi, Japanese dumplings, salads, tempura, fried chicken and more to perfectly complement the authentic Japanese hot pot. To accompany these dishes, Momo Sukiyaki & Shabu Shabu also offers quality wine, Japanese sake, shochu, umeshu and other non-alcoholic drinks. If you have a sweet tooth, the restaurant has the most flavourful combinations of traditional parfait and mochi. Visit us for the authentic Japanese Izakaya dining experience without leaving the city of Melbourne or order your favourite Japanese food takeaway online.

In China, "Flower Drum" is known as a traditional dance famous for its beauty and elegance. In Melbourne, it is a Chinese restaurant that displays the same elements of refinement and delicacy through our concept of fine dining Cantonese cuisine and dedicated service. Flower Drum, the restaurant, is a place that believes in combining great food, fine wine and impeccable service for a unique dining experience each and every time. In 1975, Gilbert Lau opened The Flower Drum in Chinatown on Little Bourke Street. What began as a humble desire to serve good Cantonese food to the people in Australia soon grew to be a reputable restaurant that sent food critics into an excited flurry. Gilbert's high standards for both himself and his staff allowed Cantonese cuisine to penetrate the tough Australian food market, ultimately establishing a Chinese restaurant that would rival the dominant European cuisines. A decade later, Flower Drum moved from its initial premises in Little Bourke Street to its current location, at 17 Market Lane to accomodate a growing clientale with a more spacious dining room. It was also during this time that Chef Anthony Lui was appointed Executive Chef, a position he still holds today. The working partnership of Gilbert and Anthony provided the restaurant with many accolades. This included the prestigious title of Restaurant Of The Year by the Age Good Food Guide from 1999 to 2002 and again in 2004. It was also awarded Restaurant of the Year by Gourmet Traveller Magazine in 2002 and was recognised as one of the world's top 50 restaurants by Restaurant Magazine in England in 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2005. In 2003, Gilbert sold his beloved restaurant to his three employees, Executive Chef Anthony Lui, William Shek and Patricia Fung. Today, they continue the execution of his philosophies in food and service with the aid of Jason Lui, Operational Manager and son of Executive Chef, Anthony Lui.
Flower Drum is a renowned Chinese restaurant in Melbourne's dining scene, known for its consistent delivery of exceptional food quality and attentive service. Diners appreciate the restaurant's elegant atmosphere and spacious seating, which allows for enjoyable conversations. The extensive menu caters to various dietary requirements and offers a wide range of fresh Cantonese dishes and an extensive wine list. The staff are praised for their unparalleled service, attentiveness, and expertise in recommending dishes.
