Goodstart Early Learning Child Care Centre Maleny is located in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland close to community facilities, local schools and shops. The centre has been operating for more than 20 years and has strong links with local schools, businesses and community groups. We cater for children aged from six weeks to five years, with our rooms ranging from Nursery to Kindergarten / Preschool. Our team of educators is experienced and qualified with many having worked here for up to a decade. Our centre is equipped with resources to support and foster the individual learning styles of each child and offers a developmental program in accordance with the Early Years Learning Framework. We recognise the importance of play within early childhood development and believe that play facilitates discovery about oneself and one’s surroundings. Our Storypark platform, as well as regular family nights and emailed newsletters, enable us to stay in close contact with parents and families, ensuring open and clear communication. This also means we can tailor each program to the child’s individual needs, interests and strengths – as well as the strong level of cultural diversity in our centre. Outside, we have age appropriate play spaces and equipment, all geared to enhance the children’s awareness of their surrounds and the greater environment, as well as their understanding of the importance of sustainability. Our two playground areas have sandpits, a tiered stage, a double slide, vege patch, worm farm and compost bin, lots of shade and beautiful gardens throughout. Community is also important to us and through visits to the centre and participation in events and activities throughout the year we are able to enrich the learning experience. Art and music experiences are provided on a daily basis which allow the children to freely express their creativity.
