During 2007 to 2009 we conducted research into fine iron oxide production for and . In 2008 we commissioned a new TA Instruments TGA-DSC instrument. In late 2006 we obtained a TA Instruments AR-G2 research rheometer. From 2006 to 2009 we were engaged in MERIWA research project M390, based on novel surface chemistry. A significant current research focus at CCC is the surface chemistry of concentrated electrolyte solutions, in order to examine the behaviour of particles in industrial liquors.
