Most of Our Problems come from Our Unconcious Mind

It's hard to change our habits because we do them unconsciously.

After all, who would consciously choose to behave in ways that causes themselves problems?

Most of the mind is run from the subconscious and this is why hypnosis can be so effective at changing habits that we don't do consciously.

It's interesting to note that the human mind if compared to an iceberg, the conscious part of the mind being would only be approximately 10%.  Reflected in the part of the iceberg that you can see above the surface of the water.  We think that our conscious mind is in charge, yet the unconscious part of the mind is the remaining 90 or so per cent below the surface. In other words, the unconscious mind outnumbers the conscious mind 9 to 1.


This can explain why willpower alone can be so ineffective when wanting to change habits.  We consciously want to stop.... whatever it is.  And yet a much large part of the mind still has us doing the habit. 


The solution for lasting change is to get the unconscious and conscious minds saying the same thing.
