Kaboodle Renditions consists of 5 key modules: Archivist The Archivist module enables end users to select documents of any type stored in SharePoint library and send them to a specific archive location. A document can be archived with meta-data and version history if required and even with a custom archive report. Blogger The Blogger module allows Word documents stored in a SharePoint library to be published as SharePoint blog articles at the click of a button or two. Converter Often the tools and file format you use to create documents (MS Word) is not the best tool or format in which to view content. To address this, the Converter module is used to create different renditions of Word documents in different file formats such as PDF, XPS, ePUB, TIFF etc. Replicator The Replicator module is used to replicate documents of any type from a source location to one or more target locations complete with meta-data and version history if required. We use Replicator at Kaboodle as part of our disaster recovery plan. All documentation we produce gets replicated to our SharePoint Online team site so even if Kaboodle Central burns to the ground our data is protected. Word to Wiki The Word to Wiki module enables users to seamlessly publish Word documents as SharePoint wiki pages. At Kaboodle we eat our own dog food! The source for all our online documentation was created in Word and then published as a wiki page using Word to Wiki. To update our documentation we just edit the source Word documents and a new rendition is pushed to the web site automatically whenever we publish a major version.
