Seventh-day Adventist Aged Care is committed to providing sensitive, appropriate and competent care for seniors. Our Christian world-view places supreme value on the worth of every human being. Our holistic approach ensures a continuum of care over time. Our facilities and our level of care and compassion gives us a significant edge in a competitive market. Since the building of our Kings Langley Village in the early 1960's, our services have expanded to include modern facilities in Wahroonga and Hornsby on Sydney's North Shore. We have moved well beyond the concept of caring for frail people of advanced age, to providing a wide range of accommodation and care options for seniors.

Ku-ring-gai Neighbourhood Centre Inc (KNC) is a not for profit volunteer based community organisation located at St Ives Shopping Village. KNC has been providing information support and services to Ku-ring-gai residents since 1979. KNC is managed by a voluntary Management Committee, elected from members of the organisation. KNC volunteers are people from all walks of life, nationalities and beliefs. They are the core of the Centre and it could not operate without them. Volunteers go through screening and training prior to working with the centre. Ku-ring-gai Neighbourhood Centre Inc (KNC) is a non-profit community-based organisation, incorporated under the NSW Incorporated Associations Act. We are managed by a volunteer community based management committee that is elected by KNC members each year at the Annual General Meeting. Any interested community member can apply to become a member of KNC. Contact the secretary for details. KNC has been supported by Ku-ring-gai Council since its inception and enjoys close ties with them. The Neighbourhood Centre runs our Neighbour Aid program, which is a Home and Community Care Support Program (HACC) for the frail, elderly, people with a disability and their carers. HACC is financed by the NSW State and Federal Governments.
Ku-Ring-Gai Neighbourhood Centre Inc receives high praise for their reliable and professional services, specifically their JP services, and the helpfulness of their staff. Some mention the one-page fax service, but opinions are mixed.
