Mountain Creek Outdoors History Mountain Creek outdoors began trading in the early 1980’s when the store was known as City Disposals, it was located at 71 Murray St, selling army equipment and budget camping gear. In the late 80’s it became known as Mt. Creek Camping and Clothing, where it’s focus changed from disposals to quality camping and clothing. In the 90’s and into 2000, it was known as Mt. Creek Great Outdoors under the current owners. This also saw a change in direction with better known brands being offered and a greater range of quality goods. We moved location to a larger premise as we soon outgrew the old store. This meant a larger tent display area, more staff and more products. Creek Outdoors now offers a vast range of products for all your outdoor needs whether it be camping, bushwalking, kayaking, climbing, or travel. Our staff have travelled globally to every continent where we have trekked, paddled, worked and seen the sights. Our staff compete locally and overseas in Mountain Bike races, triathlons, kayaking, white water rafting, Winter Challenges and Point to Pinnacle to name a few.
