In this time, they have built a homely, friendly atmosphere within the motel, ensuring everybody’s stay has a personal touch. Each room has been hand decorated by Debra and Teena, with artwork, artefacts and themes throughout. What a beautiful time of year to be in glorious Hervey Bay. The weather has been superb with clear blue skies and warm sunny days. The whales have departed to new horizons after entertaining lots of visitors with record numbers of whales in Hervey Bay. Spring is here and the garden is looking beautiful with everything flowering. Teena has a new vegetable garden filled with lettuce, tomatoes, rocket, eggplant and cucumbers. As well the mango trees have masses of flowers and small fruit, a bumper crop this year. Debra has the sander and paintbrush out and is refurbishing the camp kitchen in the Gazebo as well as finishing touches to room 6 bathroom. The balcony at the Motel is a favourite place for Debra and Teena to sit and watch the pink glow across the water as the sun sets and reflect on their day. The beautiful gardens of Shelly Beach Motel are a result of Debra and Teena’s hard work and green thumbs. A variety of flowers, native trees and seating areas give guests a great setting to enjoy the fresh salty air and Hervey Bay sunshine!
