Caswell's Upholstery is a family business established by Lynton Caswell in 1967. His craft was handed down to his son Mark Caswell and collectively they have 62 years experience in the upholstery industry. Lynton Caswell is an antique specialist, taught in the traditional ways of coil sprung seats, stitched fibre edges, diamond pleated buttoned backs and traditional french polishing. He is a true craftsman and really loves what he does. Mark Caswell has been in the upholstery industry for over 20 years. "I have been fortunate to be taught by such a great craftsman and artisan as my father. Patience, dedication and a good work ethic is something he has instilled in me". Mark enjoys all facets of the upholstery and soft furnishing industry, from antiques to classic designs such as club and Chesterfield styles. "I enjoy the process of repairing the frame, re-webbing and re-springing the item and then re-upholstering it. Transforming an item of furniture is very satisfying. Attention to detail is important to us". Our work ranges from domestic furniture, commercial work, custom design and remodelling.
