The CAT D11 Dozer is a large machine designed to absorb high impact shock loads and twisting forces which can occur in severe dozing and ripping applications. As a result, the various pivot pins on the machine experience severe stress and pivot wear.
The removal of these worn pins requires time consuming and labour intensive repair by way of lancing, welding or line boring, which can ultimately cause irreparable damage.
The advantage of the Expander Pins System is that it will eliminate pivot wear. The work lug holes are easily and quickly repaired without the need for lancing. Welding or line boring, saving the operator in long term repair costs and ensuring improved performance and longer life from your machine.
While conventional pivot pins are only locked on one side, the Expander Pin System locks on both sides. This builds structural integrity into the whole machine pivot. The sleeves then expand over both ends of the tapered axle and lock securely even when both holes are worn.
