The Centre has been in operation since 1975. Formerly known as the Waverley Montessori School, the Centre moved to Templestowe in January 1987 and moved to its current home on Donvale Reserve in early 1996, enabling the centre to expand. All parents are encouraged to contribute to the operation and activities of the Centre, in areas which suit their interests and skills. Montessori Early Education Centre is supported by the Victorian Government.
