The Tasmanian Arboretum Here is the world's largest collection of Tasmanian living woody plants; Southern Hemisphere Conifers and plants from northern hemisphere forests, in an extensive park. Within the park sits the natural heritage of the Eugenana limestone beds and the marks of colonial and early Federation industrial endeavour. Many local bird species are present and platypus may be seen on many days. The Tasmanian Arboretum has been developed by the local community with extensive volunteer input showing what can be achieved from a dream.
