Fly fishing school and guided trout fishing tours in Tasmania, Australia. The hatching of the first ova on May 4th 1864 duly created the opportunity for a wide spread establishment of the prized species around the southern hemisphere. Promotional material engineered through the partnerships between the major players in the tourism and trout fishing industries, and lead by TGALT, are now rolling out into our markets in the form of written media, TV documentary, memorabilia and more. Awareness of Tasmania and its quality as a trout fishing destination continues to rise, the current celebrations and ongoing promotions around the 150 Year anniversary are playing an important role in this. TGALT has partnered with the Central Highlands Council at AGFEST, assisting to showcase the region and the importance it has to trout fishing. The site was awarded the Best Single Site at AGFEST 2014. This was also featured in an article in the Local Government Association Tasmania news, September 2014, with an image showing our TGALT banner prominently displayed. TGALT often partners with IFS and AAT and has presence at numerous other state wide events, including the annual Trout weekend and the Salmon Ponds sesquicentenary celebrations in May, the Tasmanian Trout Expo in September at Cressy (now coming into the 10th year),
