I do not recommend this clinic. The customer service is poor and the front desk girls are rude. I am never greeted on arrival and need to make a real effort to be noticed. My little dog was booked in for a wash and groom and they assured me this would include "claw clipping". They required him to stay for a period of four and half hours. When I returned to fetch him they charged me more than I had been quoted previously. I asked why they were charging me more, and they replied that my little dog had been difficult to deal with and not very compliant. They were prepared to argue so I reluctantly paid the extra and left. When I arrived home I noticed my little dog was limping and he yelped a couple of times when I picked him up. I phoned the Balcatta Vet to say that I think he'd been hurt somehow during his grooming session. They were quick to say that he was possibly bruised because he had resisted so much. I was told that I could bring him back for a "free" check. This was a real inconvenience to me and I live some distance from them, however, I thought it necessary. The woman vet that examined my dog acted "cold and off-handish" toward me, and when I said perhaps his claws are sore? She responded by saying, "he didn't have them clipped." I said, "but I specifically asked your groomer to clip them" The vet replied, "I'm not interested in what the groomer said to you". My sister, a disabled pensioner, no longer takes her beloved dog to the Balcatta Vet either. They will not accept part payments even though my sister has a history of finalizing her bills with them. The woman behind the desk said to her in a very loud voice in front of other clients, "if you can't pay in full then find somewhere else to go". My sister and I have found a vet now, who is compassionate to both the pet and it's owner. We also know now, exactly how expensive Balcatta Vet actually is in comparison to other veterinary clinics. Balcatta Vet quoted my sister more, for a certain dental procedure for her dog, than my own dentist charges me, for the same procedure!

my dog had a bite that required urgentvsutureing .i did this .four days later it became infected so i toook my ten yr old to ballcatta vets .ime on a dsp pension..the 18 yr old kno it ll says i can be pprosecuted for suturing my dog..they offerd basic treatment est cost 2000$ .i do not have ghat type of money .so they washed it gave anti inflamatoies andantibiotics ..said go keep it clean with salty water ect ..this cost 490$ minus my 5% discount so 462$.. ide go to k******** v*** ..they do care and dont ripp you off my last two checkups were free

We took our ailing dog in on a monday, and the young vet, although mostly competent, didn't even bother to take her temperature, but just gave us $70 pain-killers; her condition worsened in the next two days to the point that she couldn't walk, so on returning, another young female vet, was not only arrogant, callous and indifferent to our dog's suffering, but was more concerned with arguing with my mother (who was distraught at this point, which added to our dogs' suffering). After what this "veterinarian" termed "VERY expensive" tests, our poor dog had to be put down due to cancer. If you want to subject your pet to young, inexperienced, and arrogant staff, by all means go to this hospital; it used to have a better reputation a decade ago, but now it's a cold-hearted money-making business. Being open 24 hours is it's only advantage over the competition, and don't expect the younger vets to have any sympathy or respect for your beloved animal. Don't mind a factory-like surgery? cool... -But if you really love your pet, AVOID this place like the plague.

The young female staff were arrogant, bordering on CRUEL to our poor Shepherd girl, who was suffering from cancer. One young female "vet" was pompous, rude, and quite callous about the whole matter, which upset both my 8-year-old daughter and my wife. NEVER TAKE YOUR ANIMAL THERE- they are cruel, rude, greedy little people. Our poor dog? -We took her to another clinic in Morley to have her kindly put down, instead of having her die in that cold horrible place, with those cold horrible people.
