We can trace our beginning back to the 1970's, when the manager of the Australian-owned parent company (called Slicker Stickers) was having difficulty with one of his children at school. A teacher, after discovering what this boy's father did for business, asked whether it was possible to create a range of stickers that could be used to assist students with their learning.

After consulting with the company's graphic designer, the manager of Slicker Stickers presented the first 'catalogue' to his child's teacher. It was simply a piece of paper with three sticker designs stuck onto it! The idea of using stickers to reward school children soon took off, and over the next 30 years, the range expanded from 3 stickers, to 300, trading under the name of School Merit Stickers. After much positive feedback from teachers about the fantastic effect our stickers were having with children & many requests for more 'School Merit' products, School Merit Stickers
