Spurred on by the lack of a fulltime Islamic outlet in Melbourne, IBC opened its first retail store on Sydney Road, Coburg in October 2003, in the psychological heartland of Melbourne's Muslim community. Due to IBCs popularity and growing reputation it moved to its current location at 207-211 Sydney Road, Coburg, where you can now find everything you need in the one place, a truly unique and diverse shopping experience IBC stocks a wide range of clothing for males and females, young & old and have now designed their own range of ladies fashion under the label Silk Road Online. SRO meets the needs of the discerning female Muslim consumer, who wants to be fashionable as well as ensuring their dress code meets specified guidelines. IBC stocks in excess of 1000 books, covering all possible subjects. Our goal is to provide Australia 's widest range of Islamic books in English. We believe we are well on the way to doing so, we may be there already. Many are being added online, with the full range being available in store. IBC also specializes in childrens games, books & DVDs. With in excess of 400 titles specifically for children we hope there is something for everyone.
