History Geochempet Services specializes in petrographic aspects of engineering and exploration geology; particularly in the quarrying industry and infrastructure areas. It was established by Dr Stan Joyce in 1981. The business began trading initially as Geobase Pty Ltd and subsequently as Geochempet Services. Over 10, 000 consultancy assignments have been performed for mineral explorers and for quarrying and construction companies. A substantial amount of the consultancy has been concerned with the petrographic assessment of rock proposed for use as a quarry source of road base and/or concrete aggregate and/or sealing aggregate and/or rail ballast and/or rip rap and/or armour rock. Work has emanated from or been performed not only in Australia, but from a variety of other countries. The business was purchased from Dr Stan Joyce in July 2005 by Kendo Consultancy Pty Ltd.
