Bringing back trees Each year Landcarers plant many millions of native trees, shrubs and grasses for a range of benefits, including improved soil and water quality. They restore bushland and conserve sensitive areas on both public and private land. Restoring wildlife habitats Volunteers have provided protection for thousands of native species, including threatened and endangered flora and fauna. Urban action - protecting our urban environment Active Landcare groups in Australian towns and cities work thousands of hours each year to tackle local environmental issues of most concern to their communities. EC Sustainable was formed in 1996 in Australia as a partnership between Chris Rochfort and Eric Love. Each founding principal brought extensive experience in waste management, including resource recovery, collection and processing, horticulture and sustainability market change.
