Gunyah means shelter, and that's what we aim to provide. We've operated in Queanbeyan for about 20 years, and our focus is working with women and children who find themselves without a proper roof over their heads for all sorts of reasons. Gunyah manages a small number of properties in Queanbeyan and all are three or four bedroom houses. The accommodation program is for women and their dependant children with support needs, and it's what we call 'medium-term supported accommodation'. This means families can be housed for up to 12 months.
