Brunswick Travel & Tour is a family owned business founded and run by Zoe Tyros. In 1995 Zoe placed her faith in a travel agent to organise a special family holiday to Sydney to celebrate her mother’s first visit from China. Unfortunately the holiday turned out to be a disaster and something that Zoe and her family remember to this day. Zoe’s desire to become a travel agent was fuelled by this bad experience and sparked her determination to always offer a high level of service to help make customer’s holiday dreams come true. After finishing her diploma in travel and tourism at the William Angliss Institute, Zoe worked as a domestic and international travel consultant at a travel centre in her local area before opening Brunswick Travel & Tour in 2002. Zoe strongly believes that travel choices are very personal, reflecting a customer’s desires and lifestyles. She consistently offers a high level of service, placing the utmost importance on each client’s individual needs. Over the years she has established many long term relationship with clients. Most of Zoe’s new customers come through referrals from extremely happy existing customers.

In 1983, Wayne Alley and his partner Florence Alley started a business specialising in travel to the Philippines. The travel business for the Alleys proved to be successful. The encouraging result prompted them to expand their business by widening the market segments. In 1986, Villager Pty. was established as an umbrella company for the various business trading names created to target specific travel market segments. The company saw the need to service the neighbourhood where it was located that led to the birth of North Suburban Travel. In 1999, Villager made its first Internet venture. DiscountFlights.au was created to target travelers looking for the most competitive pricing online. AsianHolidays.au was also established to serve the travel needs of travelers to Asia. After nineteen years in business, Wayne and Florence decided to sell their travel agency in its new location at 225 Melville Road, Brunswick West. This opened an opportunity for Gigi Kalong, an employee of Philippine Tours for 12 years, to take over the business in 2002. The takeover marked a new milestone for Ms Kalong as the Managing Director and a new beginning for the travel agency. As the Managing Director, Gigi Kalong ushered DiscountFlights.au into a new level of business. DiscountFlights.au now actively promotes not only Asian destinations, but all countries around the world. As DiscountFlights.au has traveled a long journey but admits that there is more to be done. As the online bookings gain more acceptance, the company recognises the need for a more proactive approach in providing customers a first-class service at the lowest rates possible.
