Whyalla Funeral Services is a small family operated business, owned by Peter and Glad Butterfield. The company started in 1984, trading as Whyalla Funeral Service. Our staff includes Gary and Lois Rawlings, Alan Paskett, Graeme Fargher and Bronwyn Aubert. General Manager Gary Rawlings began in the funeral industry about 1990. When he first joined Whyalla Funeral Services, Gary pretty much did all the jobs no one else wanted such as cleaning the vehicles, cutting lawns, trimming coffins (put the handles on and interiors in them). Eventually Gary became more involved in the funeral side of the business and now he is qualified in mortuary science and fully conversant with all sides of the funeral industry and occasionally also act as a funeral celebrant. As funeral directors, it is part of our role to make this very difficult time as easy as possible for you and your family. 
Whyalla Funeral Services received praise for providing helpful and uplifting services during difficult times. Gary and his staff were commended for their warmth and understanding, making the process easier for customers.
