This update was sent to us recently by our friends at SAVEM who we have mentioned a few times before in the past because of their SAVEM Jeep Compass.
This time around they were involved with the recent Pinery Bushfires.
In this case, two teams of volunteer vets and vet nurses responded to animals injured in the fires.
“Some people think that the kind of work that we do is all warm and fuzzy and plucking furry animals from the flames, but it is not like that at all,” Dr Rachel Westcott said.
